India has many dance forms originating from each state, a dance form for every festival and related to different communities- Wow! That is what the cultural heritage of India looks like. But there are 6 major forms recognised on a national level these being-Kathakali from Kerela, Bharatnatyam from Tamil Nadu, Manipuri from Manipur, Kuchipudi from Andhra Pradesh, Kathak from Uttar Pradesh, and Odissi from Odisha.
