Yellow Book acquired by Internet Solutions Company
Brisbane, Australia, London, United Kingdom and Nevada, United States of America, September 29 - Two undisclosed companies trading in the United Kingdom and the United States have signed an agreement to acquire the Yellow Book business off Internet business directory company Mandino Pty Ltd.
The Mandino Pty Ltd business, established in 2000, has been trading strongly with one of its main business, atozpages.com.au.
Yellow Book currently holds 1.3 million business listing, with up to 20 000 plus categories in all Australian States, making it one of the most comprehensive business category based business directory in Australia, Emmanuel Khoury said, Managing Director of Yellowbook.com.au Pty Ltd.
The acquisition between the undisclosed entities and Mandino Pty Ltd was agreed upon cash settlement.
Mr. Khoury says Yellowbook.com.au will in fact be a comprehensive business information directory promoting all types of goods and services.
The acquisition was made possible by a World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO) decision favouring Mandino Pty Ltd over Telstra Corporation Limited which the dispute names were over Yellowbook.com.au and Yellowbook.net.au. The panellist found that YELLOW BOOK is not confusingly similar to YELLOW PAGES in WIPO Case http://www.wipo.int/amc/en/domains/decisions/html/2006/dau2006-0006.html
Yellowbook.com.au Pty Ltd plans to go international by establishing Business Directories in the European and American regions.
